Job Purpose and Impact

Location: York (UK) or Schiphol (Netherlands)

The International Freight Coordinator will participate in the identification and selection of the most appropriate and cost-effective transportation (Container, LCL and Air Freight) methods, through negotiation with carriers. The role will also partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of Cargill products in Europe and Globally.

Key Accountabilities

• Control and track the transport of critical materials

• Assist in the (re-)negotiation of ancillary costs and contract terms with carriers and to collect market information, validate information with party involved and prepare monthly business overviews for the respective Cargill business units.

• Preparation of needed paperwork to make shipments move

• Update transportation websites and databases for contracts, (ad-hoc) freight rates and estimates, insurance and customer information

• Proactively work with vendors and business units to keep the statement of accounts with vendors clean including identifying & solving disputes

• Analyze current transportation operations practices to optimize process challenges and identify cost improvement opportunities

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and or demonstrate experience in Shipping & Logistics

• Experience with an ERP System (SAP)
