JOB SUMMARY

Team Lead Shelf Allocation Specialist is responsible for providing member retailers with analytical data, supervision, assistance, and programs to complete all resets. This includes the proper products and planning placement for all resets, remodels, and new store set-ups for the best profitable outcome. They manage and supervise the Senior and Shelf Allocation Specialists Team. They also train and educate retailers on how to best merchandise their shelving, store planning and layout using programs and industry data.

 

The Lead Shelf Allocation Specialist maintain relationships with retailers, corporate department team members, and member store team members. This is done through phone, email and in person communication.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans and coordinates with retailers using analytical data for all resets, remodels, and new stores.
  • Uses shelf space allocation techniques that will maximize sales per square foot.
  • Creates all major floor plans and procedures.
  • Supervise vendors, brokers, manufacturers, retail store personnel and retail service team in new store set ups, remodels, and resets to ensure all required tasks are completed.
  • Order and manage all equipment needed to complete projects.
  • Trains retailers on programs used to maximize sales and profits.
  • Work with category management, space management, advertising, retail technology, retail services, member retailer, store engineering and manufacture vendors to support the product and shelf placement of the project.
  • Maintain retail floor planning and mapping of stores to ensure proper procedures are in place for tag placement, sign source programming, Code Red, Fair Share, and on-line shopping programming.
  • Help update future schematics regarding size and selections.
  • Help solve issues with current schematics and store audits on geographical product selection.
  • Communicates and coordinates essential materials, support, and supplies with all departments.
  • Communicate needed information through phone, email and in person interaction.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

     

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Three or more years-experience in a related field
  • Reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance
  • Extensive travel up to 42+ weeks a year
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, friendly and professionally in all situations.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks with a high attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Regular on-site attendance is required.
