University of Rochester 8 North - Pediatric Complex Care/Neuro/Burn - Assistant Nurse Manager, Inpatient in Rochester, New York
Responsibilities
Seeking a self-motivated individual with demonstrated clinical skills and leadership potential, interested in becoming part of the nursing leadership team on 8 North. This unit is dedicated to the care of children with complex medical needs, burns, cardiac, and neurologic diagnoses. The ideal candidate will have the ability to function collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, embrace change, and support staff development. Must demonstrate flexibility and adaptability. Leading care of the pediatric patient/family in a challenging and fast paced environment requires strong organizational time management, and critical thinking skills. Areas of focus include scheduling, staff mentoring and development, recognition, retention, and evidence-based practice changes/performance improvement. The Assistant Nurse Manager is involved in committees at the service, nursing practice and institutional level. BSN required. 3 years relevant clinical experience and national certification in the care of the pediatric patient desired.
Qualifications
Requires a BSN or matriculation in a BSN program from an accredited Nursing Program and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have a minimum of 5 years or RN experience. This position is a member of the unit/service leadership team, demonstrates the ability to develop standards of care, unit/service goals, and objectives, and provides consultation and expertise in delivering patient care.

Pay Range
Pay Range: $43.74 - $61.23
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.

Schedule: FT position available, D/E/N, 8 & 12-hour shifts, weekends, holidays and on-call per unit policy.
