We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Release Train Engineer II to join our Markets Technology Team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA. Working arrangements would be 3+ times in office per week. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: The Scrum Leader is accountable for establishing and maintaining Scrum, facilitating understanding of Scrum theory and practice, both within the Scrum Team and the organization. The Scrum Leader & Release Train Engineer serves: The Scrum Team (Team) by: Causing removals of impediments to the Team's progress. Ensuring that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox Release Train Engineer facilitates: Helping Teams focus on creating high-value Increments that meet the Definition of Done. The RTE facilitates process and execution and drive a culture of continuous improvement and integration by fostering community of practice. They lead and/or participate in lean-agile transformations, coach leadership, and other teams in agile mindsets and new processes. They act as a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART) or product. Improve the flow of value through value streams by improving and assessing the practices associated with DevOps and Release on Demand in the Continuous Delivery Pipeline Facilitate System Demos Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and help them improve Foster Communities of Practice and the use of engineering and Built-In Quality practices. Accountabilities: Ensuring Scrum principles and practices are followed, Scrum team events occur, are productive and kept within timeboxes. Removing impediments identified by teams. Tracking and resolving team dependencies. Ensuring Teams' effectiveness in using Scrum Facilitating and guiding Teams to deliver expected outcomes with high quality. Helping Teams focus on creating increments of value for each iteration and achieving daily and Iteration Goals in the context of the current program objectives. Using Data driven approaches to help Teams eliminate waste, improve productivity and improve team performance. Skills: Agile Methodologies Business Process Improvement Cross Functional Team Leadership Kanban Scaled Frameworks Scrum Software Project Management To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Experience in Scrum Master role for software development team for large initiatives. Knowledge of various Agile approaches: Scrum, SAFe, XP, Kanban, etc. Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games Knowledge and experience in the use of tools such as: Jira, Confluence, Miro etc. Ability to learn new technology quickly, demonstrated by experience in an engineering environment. Ability to take ambiguous topics and translate into actionable plans working with multiple business, operational and technical stakeholders. Excellent communication and mentoring skills. Preferred t have Agile certifications including CSM, PSM, SAFe SSM. Talent for driving change.  Ability to drive consensus and resolve conflicts across multiple parties. Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of Agile methods, User Story writing, and prioritization techniques. Bachelor's degree in business or technical-related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred. 8-10 years of experience in providing consulting advice to senior IT and business management required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus. The Release Train Engineer (RTE) is a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART) or product. The RTE's major responsibilities are to facilitate the development events and processes and assist the teams in delivering value. RTEs communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement. The Sr. Specialist RTE facilitates process and execution. They escalate impediments, manage risk, help ensure value delivery, and help drive a culture of continuous improvement. They may also coach leadership, and other teams in agile mindsets and new processes. Coach leaders, teams and Scrum Masters in Safe. Manage and optimize the flow through the program and facilitate PI Planning and readiness. Aggregate Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives. Escalate and track impediments. Ensure strategy and execution alignment. Help manage risks and dependencies and report status. Drive continuous improvement and continuous integration.
