Robert Half Controller in Newbury Park, California

Description We are in search of a Controller to manage all financial activities in our Newbury Park, California location. This role involves overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. The Controller will be crucial to our decision-making processes by providing financial insights and analysis to senior management.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Develop annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads and senior management

• Monitor performance against budgets and provide variance analysis

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making

• Establish and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations

• Manage cash flow and liquidity by monitoring cash balances, forecasting cash needs, and optimizing working capital

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations at the local, state, and federal levels

• Identify and mitigate financial risks that could impact the organization's performance

• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software to streamline processes and improve efficiency

• Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, including accountants, analysts, and clerks

• Communicate financial results, insights, and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders. Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Controller or in a similar role with multientity experience

• Ethical, moral and trustworthy

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is preferred

• Familiarity with DCAA regulations and guidelines

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential

• Experience in implementing and managing ERP Solutions

• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions

• Expertise in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven experience in Auditing

• Must be familiar with Budget Processes and able to manage them effectively

• Must be legally able to work in the country of employment.
