Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Director - Strategic Programs to join our Solutions Architecture & Infrastructure Platform team. The team oversees multiple tools, including ServiceNow, Monitoring & Observability, and IT Asset Management. The ideal candidate will have strong background in infrastructure and will be responsible for overseeing multiple IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, strong project & program management skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for enterprise programs that align with organizational goals and IT infrastructure needs.

  • Lead the scoping and management of large-scale projects involving new developments, platform enhancements, and solution deployments.

  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, security and business teams to ensure projects are aligned with technical and business requirements.

  • Conduct thorough requirements gathering and analysis to ensure that solutions meet business needs and are scalable and efficient.

  • Manage project & program resources, timelines, and budgets, ensuring program and projects are delivered on time and within cost constraints.

  • Prepare investment proposals and manage funding allocations for involved initiatives.

  • Serve as a liaison between IT and business units, ensuring clear communication and effective stakeholder management throughout project lifecycles.

  • Monitor and report on the progress of projects & programs, including the achievement of milestones and the resolution of blockers.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in IT project and program management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong technical background, with expertise in ITIL, Monitoring & Observability and ServiceNow

  • W ell organized and able to work effectively under time pressure

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Project management, Program management, SAFe certifications (e.g. PMI, PRINCE2, SPC)

  • Proficiency in both project and program management tools and methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced & ambiguous environment

  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices with IT

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$144,200.00 - $288,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
