Robert Half Accounting Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina. You will be working in a fast-paced environment and your main tasks will include managing the Accounting Department, preparing consolidated financial statements, and assisting in annual budget preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the provision of accurate financial statements to aid management in business decisions.

• Oversee the Accounting Department ensuring its efficiency, timeliness, and accuracy.

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closings.

• Prepare consolidated financial statements for review.

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets to ensure financial planning.

• Support business heads with financial analysis efforts, providing critical financial insights.

• Manage annual external audits ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Oversee the Accounting team including the hiring, training, and development of employees.

• Handle tax reports and reporting to tax authorities, ensuring compliance with tax laws.

• Maintain the administration of the electronic banking system.

• Assist with the gathering of information for risk management requirements.

• Utilize accounting software systems such as ERP Solutions and Great Plains.

• Handle accounting functions including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Conduct auditing and billing functions as per the company's standards and regulations.

• Prepare annual budgets and manage tax reporting.

This role requires proficiency in various skills including Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, Great Plains (GPAC), Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, Billing Functions, CPA, Prepare Annual Budgets, and Tax Reporting in a manufacturing environment. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in an accounting management role or similar

• Hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification

• Proven experience with accounting software systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) is essential

• Comprehensive understanding of accounting functions

• Proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in auditing and billing functions

• Ability to prepare annual budgets

• Skilled in tax reporting

• Knowledge of manufacturing industry accounting practices is advantageous
