DCL Corporation Sample Coordinator in Charleston, South Carolina

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

The Sample Coordinator will maintain the sample room and inventory of preship samples, send out required samples, coordinate the sending of commercial samples through our third party vendor, maintain an updated inventory, and maintain all required records.

In addition, the Sample Coordinator will be available to pull plant and warehouse samples as needed to support production and non-routine customer requests.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Maintain the sample room and keep the inventory of preship samples updated electronically. Check for preship requirements daily and fulfill the orders within 24 hours. (30%)

  • Coordinate the sending of commercial samples through our third-party vendor, including all follow up with our commercial team. (30%).

  • On a periodic basis, recycle samples that are no longer required (no inventory showing in the ERP system) following the established lab process. (10%)

  • Pull and deliver samples as needed for production needs, lab needs, and non-routine customer needs. Perform any other duties as directed by lab supervision, which may include filing, housekeeping, etc. (30%)

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time non-exempt position. Regular hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 hours during the daytime with expectations of minimal additional hours.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be proficient in Excel.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience in an Industrial environment.

  • Experience using an ERP system.

  • Good attention to detail.

  • Forklift certification preferred.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Substance abuse testing will be required for considered applicants.
